Born in London to economic immigrants from Galicia, Aurora was raised within a strong, close-knit community revolving around a Spanish school in Ladbroke Grove. After studying Psychology at Southampton University, she went on to work in finance. She is currently putting the finishing touches to her debut novel, The Blue Chaffinch, set at the outset of the Spanish Civil War and written while she completed Faber Academy’s ‘Writing a Novel’ course. Also fluent in Spanish and Galician, Aurora lives in London with her husband, three sons and a dog.
