Actor-writer-director Peter Polycarpou is a Greek Cypriot Londoner who is working on his debut novel, Socrates.

Paul Socrates is a Greek-Cypriot who has worked for 24 years in the same London factory, steam-pressing dresses. It’s about one day in his life. But it’s also about his life in that one day, a day he’s made redundant and finds out the unbearable truth of his daughter’s illness.

Over a long acting career on both stage and screen award-winning Peter Polycarpou has had countless roles including Les Mis, Miss Saigon, Holby City, Granchester, KAOS and Midsomer Murders. He has also written, directed, produced and taught in youth theatres.
